hello visitors ... happy sunday

Hello visitors! As you know this is my 'sanity and vanity blog'... So yes ideed, we shall all remain anonymous! :) but it's always nice when someone happens by this blog by chance! No one ever leaves a comment, but it'll be so sweet if someone does drop a hello! :) it's a lonely place sometimes, but a much needed place of solitude most times.

supergirl got lots of dance moves! she does the rum-shaker so well.

she squats and twists; pause with a supergirl pose; kick, tap, and crosses her legs; does the arm wiggle..... it's endless and so adorable!

it's so fun watching her. we just turn on a concert and she's all into it!!! =)

she sure knows how to get into the groove! =P

moving....

we despise moving and everything that comes with it... packing, going thru stuff we don't wanna sort anyway, throwing some stuff out.

the one thing we do like is being able to donate good things we no longer need.

well, superdad and i have decided to move all by ourselves... now this is only possible because we currently live in a small apt and we don't own much stuff. we're quite adamant minmalists. but even with the minimalist taste that we have, sigh, always seem like there is too much to sort and pack.

anyway, we've started slowly, moving a lil load everyday with supergirl in tow. it's hard with our baby hanging onto us as we pack and move, but we try to make it fun for her, or take turns playing with her while one person pack. superdad does the bulk of lifting and i wish i can contribute more! i wonder if it's worth saving the couple hundred bucks to hire movers??!! anything to save now-a-days. good thing our new place is pretty close to our old place.

we found a new condo!

YAY!... we signed the lease this past weekend. we're very excited to be vacating here. we don't like the management team on this property. we get along and are on cordial terms with them but we feel the way they run things here are shady. (per circulations amongst tenants.) it's unsettling and we don't feel safe, especially now we have supergirl. if it's just hubby and i, then we're quite fearless and ready to take most things on. but now with a little one, we just have to be all the more careful and responsible!

this landlord for the new place seems quite nice per our first and second impression of her. she's also pretty lenient in giving us a good chunk of time to move in before lease begins. on the other hand, the property managers here, already want to show our unit as much and as soon as possible. though we're not officially out of here till the end of the month. oh well, guess it's reasonable if they give us 24 hour advance notice, which they did initially feel they didn't have to. the manager made a comment about anytime she wants?! i hope this don't escalate, i'd hate to beat her up! i'm just kidding! gotta be good cuz we really need our deposit back whole. i can see her as someone who'll withhold and deduct just because. and the sad thing is, when she thought we are considering to renew lease here, she was super sweet. but as soon as she found we are not renewing lease... well you get the point.

but anyway..... really looking fwd to moving outta here. our new place is also newly built in 08 and it's very nice, clean, much more spacious. the only downside is no washer-dryer. so now we gotta save up for that!

been down with cold...

supergirl seems better, but i think i caught the bug from her! or i caught a new one and passed it to her! her fever was gone by the 2nd day, but she still has a runny nose, sneezes and coughs often. i sneeze and cough a lot too. the weather here in la county has been crazy. it's been cold!!! this extreme up and down of temp is really getting people. sick.

i do however, enjoy the rainfall!
it even hailed here 2 days ago.

supergirl down with fever this morn...

it went up as high as 140. our triage nurse ask us to take supergirl to see her pediatrician because the temperature was way too high for comfort. we were instructed to give her tylenol and it did lower her temp to 102, by the time we got in to see her doc. seems like there were a couple of other babies/kids in with the same symptoms, very high fever, but otherwise ok. he informed us that 2 of the 3 flu virus strains were included in her flu shot, and she may have caught the third strain. besides, being a bit lethargic, she's her usual bossy supergirl self. she will not allow us to put cold towels on her head, but we gave her a cool bath and it seemed to help. there really is nothing to do but observe. we aren't very worried... this is the 5th time she's had a fever, but the past 4 times were due to vaccinations. our rule of thumb is- if she's still her active, social butterfly, talkative self, we don't worry. =P

she's also picked up a few new sounds or words! (jeh jeh)

superdad and i are still looking for a new pad. wish us luck!

weekend fun and gloom

today superdad and i strolled supergirl about 4 blocks down to a street festival in our neighborhood. a couple blocks of streets were closed off and filled with tents of misc stuff for sale, food, entertainment, and rides. supergirl enjoyed it a lot. she just loves being in crowded places!

superdad and i are kinda sad this weekend. we've been searching for a 'bigger' place to relocate to, since supergirl is getting 'bigger' and 'smarter'- she needs more of her own space. we found a house we really liked-- but seems our credit is not good enough. the owner really really liked us and kept pushing us to submit a application for a week we were hesitant at first because the place is a little out of our budget but we really liked it; only to find that our credit was not as he expected and he can't lease the place to us. i just don't understand why it's not good enough for him- we've never had a problem anywhere else before. perhaps he found other tenants who were willing to pay more for his place, but he's not disclosing that to us. either way, we're sad- the place was almost perfect. lots of space and a great neighborhood. oh well.

on a brighter note, scored some great deals at target!!!
